The Thimphu Tsechu in September
held every year in the capital city, this is one of the most attended Tsechus by the Bhutanese themselves. Walking distance from charming downtown Thimphu, Bhutan's idea of a big city. 


CULTURAL TOUR ITINERARIES

5 day Culture Tour in Western Bhutan
While touring Thimphu and Paro, you can visit museums, monasteries, and have tea at Dochula Pass.

7 day Culture Tour
This tour will take you through the western towns of Paro, Thimphu, and Punakha.

12 day Culture Tour Western and Central Bhutan
Located west of Paro and Thimphu, you will visit Punakha and Trongsa (the ancestral home of the Wangchuck Dynasty). Add a day hike to Taktsang Monastery and you will have really been to Bhutan.

13 day Tour, Bumthang
For one day more you will tour from Thimphu to Bumthang. In Bumthang you will go on a short and easy two day trek.

14 day Tour, Bumthang
Tour western and central Bhutan. Includes an easy four day trek. Our guests have dubbed Bumthang as the, "Switzerland of Asia." Add a day hike to Taktsang Monastery

Thimphu Tsechu
The Tsechu or Festival of the Capital City, Thimphu, is this fall. The Tsechu is a festival honoring Guru Padmasambhava, "one who was born of a lotus flower."

Dur Hot Springs 17 Day Tour and Trek
After cultural touring plus Seven days of trekking in the mountains around Bumthang and you'll be ready for a bottle of Bumthang Lager, Bhutan's best beer.

Gangtey Gompa 10 Day Tour and Trek
A tour with four days of winter trekking northeast of Thimphu. 

Samtengang Trek 10 Day Tour and Trek
Ten day tour with four days of trekking that begins in the Punakha area. 

Chilela Nature Trek, 12 days
Five days of hiking in Chilela, near Chomolhari known for great wildlife viewing. See the glaciers of Chomolhari and take a day trip to the Taktsang monastery. 

Druk Path Trek, 12 days
Six and a half days of trekking north of Taktsang and back to Thimphu. 

12 day trek Punakha area
A six day winter trek in the Punakha area. 

13 day Tour, Dagala
Seven days of trekking north of Thimphu, plus a one day hike to Taktsang monastery 

15 day Trek to Chomolhari Base Camp
Ten days of trekking to the base camp of Chomolhari and return via Punakha. 

22 day Trek to Laya Gasa
Sixteen days of trekking in the most beautiful alpine area of the Himalayas, plus a one day hike to Taktsang monastery.

12 Day Bicycle Tour
Tour by bicycle from Paro to Bumthang stopping in Thimphu, Punakha, and Trongsa. Riders can load bicycles on to accompanying vehicle for difficult sections of the tour. Guests must bring their own bicycles since there are none available in Bhutan. See the most beautiful areas of Bhutan with out the confines of modern transportation.
