Bhutanese
Currency, A Good Value for Travelers

May 2010
The Bhutanese Ngultrum has been pegged
to the Indian Rupee for decades now. So whatever the Rupee
rate is, that's the Ngultrum rate. But that isn't the whole
story. As the Rupee has gained in value against the US
Dollar from 2008 to last year, an important cycle is just
about finished and the Dollar is poised to make some gains
against the Rupee.

5 Year Chart
In the Fall of 2008 the Dollar climbed
against the Rupee. Since the beginning of 2009 the Dollar
has been coming down and has finished a decisive fifth wave
cycle and is again reaching an important resistance line.

Pink lines are the predicted
rates in the next several months
2 Year Chart
From these two charts you can easily see the
waves up and down. No one knows what is in store or where
the markets will go and we certainly can't predict it here,
but things are going to change. What ever the change is,
know for sure that visiting Bhutan is a value as good for
your money in the long run compared to any other
destination because your money buys more in Bhutan.
Everything is included in the daily rate: ground
transportation, drivers, hotels, food, guides, admission
fees, and even your bottled water.
| Disclaimer:
No one knows the future and it would be foolish to
place all your chill peppers in one basket. But we
think this is a very good guess based on the data.
